Our Mission Statement

Our God has called us to offer our lives in service to each other. One example of loving service to others is the care and feeding of the working poor and hungry. This is the ministry which we intend to provide without judgment or qualifications to those in need.
Who We Are
Founded in 2011, Feeding Families Ministry is a faith-based organization. We are a non-profit organization, founded and directed by Diane R. McFadzean - Tayburn. We are located at Mountain Center 354 Route 611, Tobyhanna PA. Privately owned, Feeding Families Ministry is an incorporated non-profit and 501c3 IRS approved charity and is not associated with any church. Our ministry strives to alleviate hunger in Monroe, Pike and Wayne counties . . . without judgement or conditions.
Feeding Families Ministry, Inc. provides free food to needy individuals who do not qualify for welfare, have recently lost their jobs, are in need due to life emergencies (health or job related) or are underemployed – the working poor.
Through the generosity of individuals, clubs and organizations, Feeding Families Ministry is able to serve approximately 1500 families a month in Monroe, Wayne and Pike Counties. Our doors open each Thursday 1 to 3 and Friday 1 to 3 to share this food with those who need it thanks to our faithful contributors and our volunteers.
In partnership with Second Harvest, we are allowed to choose items for delivery twice a month. We can provide canned goods, dry goods, meat and produce milk and eggs to all our families. These are donated by larger organizations who collect food and by companies who donate to Second Harvest. We also partner with local stores such as Walmart, Weis, Shoprite and Aldi.
